DaniRae's 6th Birthday
It is hard to believe that DaniRae is a big six years old already. What a fun and interesting six years it has been. We tease her that by the time we heard that very first scream at the hospital (and believe me, it was a screaming, ticked cry), we knew we were in trouble. She has been a delightful bundle of energy that keeps us smiling and laughing (and yes, at times, pulling our hair out). She has a "heart of gold" that would do anything for anyone, and for that we are so grateful. We started off the morning with what is becoming the traditional candle in the pancakes.
She requested a ladybug cake this year which was very easy to accomodate.
She loved opening presents....I mean really, who doesn't? Jeremiah got her this....her response was "What is it? A Bag of water?" After we all laughed, we pointed out the new fish and a snail to clean the sides of the tank. (Yes, Ben, see what you have started.....Me, (the anti-pet person) now has a dog, 2 fish, and a snail). Our new addition's name is Spotty. The snail doesn't officially have a name yet, but I think we may be leaning toward Schneider (after Hermie).
Dan and I got Dani an American Girl doll. She was thrilled. We were commenting later on how much fun it is as parents to do special things for your kids and to bring them so much happiness. We walk a fine line between not spoiling them, but also bringing them joy. It was so much fun to see her face light up at receiving Molly.

Happy 2nd Birthday, AnaGrace!!!
So, It is hard to believe that we celebrated AnaGrace's 2nd birthday tonight. It was a very relaxing evening with just the five of us. What better way to celebrate a winter birthday than with a snowman cake. DaniRae helped me make the cake (it went surprisingly well.). Yippee!!!! AnaGrace did well blowing out the first candle on her, but then needed a little help from her brother for the second one.
Here is my girl chowing down on some cake and ice cream. Yum
She really liked this new baby doll. She carried it around most of the evening. She also really enjoyed a bubble machine, but I can't get the picture to come up the right way. Oh, well, maybe later if I figure it out. We are so thankful to God for the delightful two years He has given us with AnaGrace (and the years with all of our children). What a blessing they are.

Super Saturday
This past Saturday was such a restful day. Dan needed to work on his sermon in the morning . We tried to be diligent to give him that time.
Thankfully, WPGM (the Christian Radio station) runs children's radio drama on Saturday morning for a couple hours. The kids love it and I am so glad for it. So they listened to the radio (upstairs on Miah's radio). DaniRae also helped AnaGrace onto the top bunk and the girls sat and colored for a while. It was just so quiet.
Jeremiah sat in his room and built with his legos. He got a police station for Christmas and we got out his fire station again and he is doing greatputting it together. So he was sitting quiet and listening and playing. And Me????.....I was sewing. I will find any possible time to do this anymore. It was really a great quiet peaceful morning. For those of you who have really little ones still, give it time, it will happen.
