Happy 2nd Birthday, AnaGrace!!!

So, It is hard to believe that we celebrated AnaGrace's 2nd birthday tonight. It was a very relaxing evening with just the five of us. What better way to celebrate a winter birthday than with a snowman cake. DaniRae helped me make the cake (it went surprisingly well.). Yippee!!!! AnaGrace did well blowing out the first candle on her, but then needed a little help from her brother for the second one.
Here is my girl chowing down on some cake and ice cream. Yum
She really liked this new baby doll. She carried it around most of the evening. She also really enjoyed a bubble machine, but I can't get the picture to come up the right way. Oh, well, maybe later if I figure it out. We are so thankful to God for the delightful two years He has given us with AnaGrace (and the years with all of our children). What a blessing they are.

Super Saturday

This past Saturday was such a restful day. Dan needed to work on his sermon in the morning . We tried to be diligent to give him that time.

Thankfully, WPGM (the Christian Radio station) runs children's radio drama on Saturday morning for a couple hours. The kids love it and I am so glad for it. So they listened to the radio (upstairs on Miah's radio). DaniRae also helped AnaGrace onto the top bunk and the girls sat and colored for a while. It was just so quiet.
Jeremiah sat in his room and built with his legos. He got a police station for Christmas and we got out his fire station again and he is doing greatputting it together. So he was sitting quiet and listening and playing. And Me????.....I was sewing. I will find any possible time to do this anymore. It was really a great quiet peaceful morning. For those of you who have really little ones still, give it time, it will happen.

My Mom made the girls these great snowman/smores quilt. They love them. AnaGrace love to be wrapped up and snuggled in them. Even DaniRae keeps her quilt pretty nearby.

AAAWWWWW!!!!

AnaGrace got this big bear from us for Christmas and the beautiful dress from Grandma. She loves her bear and I love this picture.

She also really enjoys her new tea set that we got her. Here she is serving bear.

Poor Dan!!! If you can't tell by the look on his face, he was enjoying this the least.

Christmas Day

We have so many great pictures from Christmas Day, but I will just show you a couple. AnaGrace found these things in her stocking and was so happy....she didn't need anything else. I know her glasses are upside down, but when you look this good...you don't need to worry about the details.
DaniRae had been asking for Ken to go with her Barbie. She was very pleased. Dan was disappointed that it had blond hair. I have yet to hear him say anything nice about Ken.
This is the epitome of a kids Christmas....surprise and excitement. Jeremiah loves his Air Hog helicopter.

We'rrrrreeee Baaack

We had a great few weeks of fun as a family. We love Christmas because of what it means to us as Christians, but also because of the great family time we have. Dan is fortunate enought to be able to take quite a bit of time off of work for which we are soooooo grateful. I will try to post some pictures of all the going on's around here the last few weeks. These pictures were from Christmas Eve. We had great time with Dan's parents and brother and family on Christmas Even and then came back home to enjoy some family time. We opened the traditional "PJ" gift and then played some new games. It was great fun. Jenga with kids bring a whole new dimension to the game. Although you won't see it here, every picture we have of DaniRae taking a piece out has Kelly in the background cringing ready for the tower to Crash!!!!
This is a fun game based on Guess Who. Dani is a basketball player, but she doesn't know it. We ask questions until you get it figured out.
And then Chinese checkers. I think Dan took this picture so that you could try to see the board, but it didn't come out so well. While Jeremiah, Dan, and I were intensely playing and strategizing, DaniRae...well....wasn't!!! She would take one marble and work it all the way across. Consequently, Dan (who was across from her) couldn't get any of his marbles home. It was so much fun anyway.
